ProjectX Reviews: Henry Fong at Webster Hall

"I saw him at EDC Orlando and he killed it"
That was the reoccurring phrase that night!
Now I could say
"I saw him at Webster Hall and not only did he kill it but he has become one of favorite DJ's
Who else but
Henry F#%*kin Fong!!!
I must say I was not planning on going to this show until 4 hrs before it started! I saw the flyer and totally over looked it" o Henry Fong who's that what ever" But while I was engaging in my Santa Con activities I heard from Mr Plur Pope himself, "Henry Fong is nasty"! So Drunkingly I went ahead and paid for a ticket.
They always so the nights unplanned are the best nights ever and Holy S%%T Fong you proved it!
Absolute beast!
Once he dropped "Encore" to open up the show, I knew what mayhem the night had in store!
He absolutely captured my heart with his outstanding light show followed by hits that made me feel like I was in a crowd at Ultra! Songs like "BOOM BOOM BOOM" "Let Me Clear My Throat" and my all time favorite "Heads Will Roll"!
He has great energy, great build ups and awesome drops! I caught myself shuffling and
I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO SHUFFLE!
Then he dropped his Remix to "WILD" by Snails and Antiserum! I'll let the video speak for itself!

Henry Fong you destroyed your set you truly got a new fan in me.
The madness didn't stop there, Dallas K and Modern Machines topped off the night! Here's Dallas K making a statement when he dropped "Orion

If you ever have the opportunity to see any of these artist do so and thank me later! Check out more videos on my IG page @ inplurwetrust

ProjectX Reviews: LIL JON at Pacha NYC

What do you expect when you hear that LIL JON is performing at Pacha. I didn't know what to expect! So as always, I went on Instgram and hastaged #liljon. That didn't really help, in fact it didn't help at all. I mean unless you didn't know LIL JONS hit song "Turn Down for What" then you'd be in for a surprise.
Any who let me start off by giving him the benefit of the doubt being that EDM is not his initial genre BUT let me keep it funky, "that will be my first and last time seeing LIL JON perform".
!!Readers, please keep in mind this is my own opinionated blog!!
I am very open to hearing DJ's I've never seen before rock out and very excited when a DJ I've never heard before becomes a favorite on my list (cough cough Henry Fong).  Unfortunately, that night, LIL JON did not create a fan in me.
It was kind of like watching the warm up act go on before the main DJ especially when you hear someone who saw LIL JON perform before compare him to DJ SNAKE.
However, he did hype the crowd a few times with his fog effects and champagne spray! Not to mention the three free bottles of Champagne he gave to a few lucky ones in the front as well as the free shots he gave out when he dropped his hit song "Shots" by LMFAO. He also bought everyone who was standing at the bar free shots on him! Bahaha! He makes sure there is a lot of "twerkin" going on. You can say he looks out for the fellas
He played good songs, nice build up but wack drops. Don,t get me wrong his song selection wasn't bad like my favorite "Bad" by David Guetta which was stuck in my head all night!  But that pretty much sums his EDM portion of the night.
However he did play his classic hits "Yeah"and " Get Low". As well as some of today's Hip-Pop like " IDFWU" Big Sean and his opening and closing song "Tuesday" ILOVEMAKONNEN. Overall, his set wasn't bad if your anything like my friend Felix who was downing drinks back to back. But if your like half the people at Pacha u'll know trying to roll hard to  LIL JON is not the way to go! BAHhaHAha
He's  good time, I would recommend him for the hype but not for the true EDM experience!

Some Tracks You Might Hear at LIC AC

Life In Color Atlantic City: Complete Booty popp'n Mayhem

Contact me for 80$ tickets @ inplurwetrsut@gmail.com
This show should be called "Life In Color Unleashed Worlds Largest Twerk Party"! If you haven't seen DJ Snake and Caked Up perform get ready for some ass shaking, beat dropping mayhem. The Atlantic City Convention Center is 10 days away from being swarmed with over 1000 pumped up ravers who are ready to go "hard in the paint".
Life in Color Atlantic City is no stranger to bringing banging lineups. Prior years included Steve Aoki, Krewella and Sebastian Ingrosso just to name a few.
To add to this city's LIC history, popular names such as DVVBS, Mercer, HEFE and Bravo Bravo will be taking over the LIC stage accompanied by 10 foot LED Robots ready to zap paint on all of us.
I along with a couple of my PLUR family members will be in attendance ready to turn up with the rest of you! This would be my 4th Life In Color show and very dear to me because, LIC Atlantic City 2013 is where I first got introduced and fell in love with Raving! Just like most of you, I first fell in love with the atmosphere, then I fell love with the people and then I fell in love with the music and now look at me spending hundreds of dollars on shows and festivals each year. "Bahaha" "Thirstyyyyy"
If you haven't been to the Worlds Largest Paint party, take these few precautions.
1. bring a poncho, sometimes the paint is freezing and honestly when your clothes are soaked its pretty uncomfortable.
2. put you phone in a zip lock bag because it will get destroyed by the paint.
3. paint in the eyes, never felt good; wear glasses/goggles.
 4. wear white, your shirt will look awesome when it dries and
5. "I go hard in the motha f#@ckin paint" you'll hear that often just keep chanting it! O yea, make sure your actually are going hard!
Rumor has it..
Caked Up is throwing a Life In Color after party at the Pool After Dark at the Harrahs Hotel and Casino! Tickets are 20$ however, its a 21+ event.Tickets available at www.linerocket.com

Kandi: Deeper than Beads P.L.U.R: Deeper than Words

Spreading Dope Vibes
Let me start off by saying how frustrating yet rewarding making Kandi could be. We've all experienced how cool it looks when our bracelets are almost finished, our beads are in perfect pattern but yet one slip of the finger and we watch our whole creation destruct like a trail of dominoes. If this never happen to you, consider yourself a lucky one.
Although frustrating and most times discouraging, we realize how monumental these time consuming string of beads are! Kandi- a materialistic piece of us that represents our lifestyles, beliefs, and creativity; that is nurtured with excessive love and great vibes in the honor of sharing it with complete strangers who believe in (P)eace (L)ove (U)nity and (R)espect just as much as you do. Every Kandi that is made, highlights a different characteristic or similarity in a person.
When Ravers trade Kandi, were silently transferring a memory, a possible friendship, an invitation, and a mutual understanding of peace, love, unity and respect. It is an invitation for us as people who come from different backgrounds, cultures, sexual orientations, beliefs, gender, religions and so on; to understand that we are we are One Nation under One Beat Drop with One Love and that's Raving!

Before we exchange our Kandi, there is a beautiful meaningful ritual that we all do . This is called the Kandi Swap. Both ravers are doing the same hand gestures at the same time. You want to start with making a peace sign, followed by half a heart, then joining your palm with theirs and finally locking fist together.

Your last and final step, simply chose your kandi and place it on the other persons arm while still keeping your hands locked.

Usually, when I trade Kandi I like to look at the person, feel out their vibes and then trade them my best Kandi creation that best suites that person at that time.
Kandi is deeper than just beads. Its a symbol, a way to connect with people from any and everywhere who share the same passion as you. Nothing is better than randomly seeing a person wearing their beads outside of a rave. Its that prideful feeling of " I have no idea who you are but I know under the electric sky we are one".

Most Epic Night of my Life: My First Rave!!

Spreading Dope Vibes
Let me start off by saying Life in Color I will forever love you.
December 31st 2013 the day Life In Color came to Atlantic City for their New Years Eve show featuring Adventure Club and Steve Aoki completely changed my life for the better! Holy sh*% that day I came to life! I had no idea this life style existed before this day. So put your time hop caps on and take a trip with me down memory lane!
It all started with the pep talk, the warnings, the symptoms, the to do's and what not to do's, the "make sure you drink water", "the stare at the lights" you know first timer sh*%. Make a long story short, once she kicked in Ihad the best time of life! I mean I was loving everybody, everyone was beautiful anything I touched or touched me felt like hot sex on Ecstasy. Talkative I was! I swear if someone was to punch me in the face I would love them for doing it. Stress free no care in the world. Everyone surrounding me was full of amazing vibes; especially when they found out I was a first time raver I have no idea what was playing but I do know when Steve Aoki dropped "Pursuit Of Happiness" I completely fell in love Epic moment of the night, my crowd surfing fail. "I know I know..Annoying!" But picture this, I'm feeling myself, I tell this guy to pick me up so I could crowd surf. Next thing I know I'm on top of a bunch of hands that were moving me closer and closer to the front. My epic moment soon came crashing down when my entire body hit the concrete! Funny thing is, as soon as I hit the floor, I jumped up and started fist pumping as if nothing happen! "bahaha" ooo boy! Everyone can recall how their first epic rave was. It's one of those memories that will forever have a lasting imprint in your heartSeriously there's nothing like a rave! Only you and those hundred other sweaty jumping ravers would understand. An euphoric atmosphere of pure Peace Love Unity and Respect. Its funny when you analyze how everyday people living there everyday lives put all there stresses away and for that 6-10 hr time span nothing else matters but the music that motivates them to move every limb of their body. That is what I call my culture, you guys are who I call my PLUR Family
